The Curriculum in year 6
· The children will learn a wide range of new and (hopefully) interesting things over the year, including:
· Facts about different countries
· World War 2
· Stories from a range of authors
· Different religions
· SRE (Sex and relationship education)
· New maths topics as well as consolidating others
· P4C (Philosophy for Children), making children understand the effect of their and other peoples choices
· How to become more effective writers (Focus on writing)
· Teamwork / co-operation
· How to be healthy
· E-Safety
HOMEWORK
· Children will get English, Maths, Spellings and Reading every week
· Homework will go out on a Friday and is due in on a Thursday
· Spellings will go out on a Thursday and the children will be tested the following Thursday
Please support us with this, the work your children do at home is just as important as the work done in school
